I founded Undrip in late 2011. It was a mobile iOS app that helped you discover the best content coming through your social feeds (Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram). I wanted to solve a problem for myself. I had very little time to browse social media throughout the day -- I wanted a system that could algorithmically find the best content and surface it for me in the few minutes I had in the evening. We raised a total of $950k. The company is still running but Undrip the app is no longer in the app store. Our ratings/reviews were fantastic. Our growth was in the right direction, but it was far from explosive. With no explosive growth and no strong business model, we simply didn't have the resources to keep grinding. So we've since pivoted. New product coming soon.
FastCompany did a fun article about our design/engineering culture (and easter eggs!).
